Platts Jig Yellow Bone Canoe
When you pick up one of our new Platts Jig Yellow Bone pocket folders, you step into a world where tradition and innovation collide. Each is built with rugged stainless steel blades, engineered for durability and precision cutting. But it’s the knife's handle that tells a deeper story of time-honored craftsmanship. The jigging style on the yellow bone handle is actually a tribute to the work of Charles Platts, a prominent cutler from Sheffield, England who brought his knifemaking skills to America at the end of the 19th century and later joined his knife company with W.R.Case and Sons Cutlery Company in Bradford, Pennsylvania in 1905.
The Canoe knife gets its name from its canoe-shaped handle. This durable folding knife features two blades on opposing ends, the Spear blade and the Pen blade. The Spear blade is used as a heavy-duty utility tool and great for piercing. The Pen blade is great for light work. The Canoe pattern can be used for fishing related jobs like cutting hooks from a line and cleaning fish.
